Christine Yakush is the
Vice President of Member Services for VOHMA. She is responsible for the
oversight of strategic planning, development, and implementation of
marketing promotions for publication sales, quarterly meetings and for the
annual meeting. She also provides financial management to VOHMA.
Chris
assists in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional
initiatives for all products and services and VOHMA meetings and
membership. She organizes all aspects of meeting management to include
soliciting proposals from hotels, evaluating properties, and organizing
all meeting facilitation space and food requirements.
She
supports VOHMA committees and facilitates correlating business. This
support includes attending in person meetings and participating in
conference calls. Provides meeting notes and minutes, email
communications, and schedules meetings. Publishes association newsletters
and manages affiliated websites.
Meets with prospective clients and/or
association members to address needs and sell memberships and services.
Promotes and sells sponsorship at all meetings. Generates leads for new
business clients through participation at trade shows and through prospect
lists and resources.
Provides
financial management services for VOHMA to include assistance in budget
preparation, bank reconciliation, oversees accounts payable and
receivables, inventory reconciliation, Finance Committee reports, and acts
as the liaison with corporate accountant.
Chris received a Real Estate Paralegal
Certificate from Widener University, Wilmington, Delaware, and an
Associates Degree in Business Administration from Adirondack Community
College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from
Empire State College.
